Playwriting Project
I worked with Arturo, Jade, and Carmen on this. What we had to do was develop and essentially complete the play that we created, Including completing the script, and storyboarding it.
The Great Dionysus Project
The Great Dionysus Project was a project where we had to create and perform a tragic play based on a social issue. First, we started out in groups of two, and came up with small undeveloped ideas, and once it was narrowed down to six, we developed it almost 100% so it was nearly complete, including finishing the script and creating a storyboard for it. Out of those six, we voted on the one we wanted to officially work on, the one we chose was called 'Don't Mean A Thing'.
The play 'Don't Mean A Thing' is about two brothers, Sam and Paul (played by Sam and Kenneth) who go into the Vietnam War together. Sam isn't 100% "all there" so Paul spends most of his time taking care of him. One night, Paul and others decide to go sneak-attack a village who has killed a few of their men. While out there, someone from their base comes looking for them and says that the "gooks" are open-firing on the camp. The men rush off to help defend, but not before Paul is told that Sam is dead.
My original role in the production was backdrop. We painted the background as a hills and forests, portraying a Vietnam setting. When we were done with the backdrop I helped with set design, helped build a joystick and painted the radio. Unfortunately, we didn't get an award for backdrop which I guess is all right, you win some you lose some.
Part of my overall learning was learning more about the Vietnam War, which was interesting. Although I think what I learned the most about overall was that some people are a pain in the butt to work with. But you still have to work with them so just power through it it'll be over soon.

San Diego Through the Lens Project
The San Diego Through the Lens project was a project where we had to create and display a documentary of a certain community of San Diego. I worked with Jennifer and Brandon on Mission Beach. We had to visit Mission Beach and take pictures and interview locals to create a documentary of the community. The Movie had five sections: 1) Introduction, 2) History, 3) Changes over time, 4) Community today, and 5) Conclusion. We also made a calendar using the pictures we took with our Pinhole cameras.
As for my individual contribution, I worked on the actual movie itself the most, because apparently I was the only one in our group who knew how to work iMovie, or just the Mac in general. I also went back to Mission Beach a lot to take pictures and film interviews. I also took the pictures for the calendar.
While doing this project, I learned more about Mission beach and its history. I also got to explore around so that was cool too. I enjoyed being able to go to the beach and the bay lot during this project. I enjoyed making the movie and getting the pictures for it too. Something i would to differently next time is I would work harder and stay more on task as to finish the project when its due. Also I learned that some people don't make good project partners.

Little Free Library
The Little Free Library Project was a project where we had to read the book Fahrenheit 451 and built a 'little free library', which is pretty much a box that you put books in and it works like a miniature library, people can take a book and leave a book. We also had to somehow incorporate Fahrenheit 451 into it, I worked with Jackie on it and we put a quote in the inside. We painted it a earth-tone brown and made a roof out of copper and put moss and plants into it to make it a 'green-roof'.
My individual contributions were getting the wood for it, I got it from my friend's ranch in Colorado; Also I got the frame for the door and helped my dad weld the roof together.
